What are the major commercial companies in each Industry?

bungee, ubisoft, infinity ward, SEGA, E.A., namco, capcom, nintendo, microsoft, activision, rock star, lion head, naughty dog, konami, square enix, rare ltd, insomniac, lego interactive, neversoft, bioware, pandamic studios, bathesda game studios, free radical design, IO interactive, eidos.

· What types of jobs can you apply for and where could these jobs possibly lead?

game design, script writer, game artist, games testing, producer, proggrammer.



· What type of skills would you need, to apply for a job in each of your chosen industries?

needing strong social skills to become a team worker. To have the ability to tangibly express ideas clearly, shown through well written potfolios and resumes. maths and art skills are needed.

· Can you find a job or some work experience that is related to your industry of choice?



4. Write up your notes into three mini reports (min 150 words). Each report should contain details of the following.

Game design started between the year of 1960's and 1970's. The first games made by ordinary people who liked creating them as a hobby and then later sold them on for exhibits for computer labs and for people to use as an actual source of entertainment. they originally needed large mainframes on computers. Some of the bigger companies at this day include capcom, bungee, ubisoft, infinity ward etc. To get into the game design field of work you need to have good understanding in art, maths and computer softwares, you also need to be good team worker and also willing to speak freely of ideas that you may have. you will also be asked to show a portfolio of ideas and work you have done in the past. I am very intersted in the art part of this line of work and am planning to take this up as a possible carreer choice. It is an extremely challenging work field that envolves full envolvement and motivation to succed in it, usualy working on long term projects that can spread over a long period of time.
